Joe Kachnic
Owner/Professional Guide

Joe grew up in Tucson, Arizona hunting deer, elk, and waterfowl.  He moved to Colorado in 1985. Joe lives in Longmont and his hunting buddy Bear. Joe has been a guide in Alaska for moose, caribou, bear, and fishing and has guided hunts for elk in Wyoming, Turkey in South Dakota , Kansas and currently guides in Colorado for elk, turkey, and waterfowl.  Joe believes that you get out of a hunt what you put into it, and you will not find a harder working guide than Joe, he is known for his Death Marches that he puts his elk hunters through. If the elk are in the area Joe will find them no matter what it takes. Joe averages 200 days a year in the field guiding hunters. Joe  has been involved with the Hunter Outreach program with the Colorado Division of Wildlife for several years.  Joe says that we need to keep our hunting heritage going and pass it on to our youth, if we don't the joy of hunting will be lost forever.  For several years  Joe has  donated several hunts a year to Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever for their fund raising banquets.  Joe's drive and passion for hunting is unsurpassed.
















Kyle Fagler
Guide
Guiding hunts since the age of seventeen, Kyle has gone against the hardest hunting conditions possible.  Growing up hunting waterfowl, Kyle learned a lot of respect, hard work and dedication to a sport that hopefully you will also love if you don't already.  Kyle grew up hunting in the Windsor, CO region and has traveled to Nebraska, Wyoming, Kansas and South Dakota chasing Canadian Geese and ducks.  One of the things Kyle has been recognized for is his ability to call geese.  The following are credits to his skill:

Kyle has been featured on the Outdoor Network, Flap-O-Matics Promotional video, Trail of Sportsman Magazine, The Denver Post and also The Rocky Mountain News.  Kyle is an avid hunter who believes anyone can come on a hunt and have a truly good time no matter the outcome.  Kyle welcomes the opportunity to offer tips and pointers or any advice so that you can improve your calling skills.  Hunting with Woods and Water Outfitters will be the adventure you have been waiting for.
















Joshua Lawley

Guide

Josh grew up in Longmont and now resides in Greeley, Colorado. Josh’s Father and Uncle’s helped ignite his passion for the outdoors at a very young age. Josh had his first Trophy Mule Deer at the age of 12 and many more after that. Since then Josh’s passions for any outdoor activities are hard to surpass. Josh has been guiding waterfowl hunts for 3 years and also works for Burris Optics. Josh is always willing to share his experience and knowledge with other hunters. Questions are always welcome. Josh prides himself on being successful. If something is not going the way he wants it to he will find a way to make it work.

Josh is very active with Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Josh has also donated a lot of his time to the DU Greenwings and Family events through Burris. Josh knows that the Kids and conservation are the future of the sport. In the offseason Josh loves working with his Lab “Hunter” and spending time with his wife. In the end Waterfowl season is always on his mind!





Mark Strachan
Guide

For Mark there are two seasons. Goose season, and dreaming of Goose season.
Mark was born in Tennessee and has live in many parts of the country, where he hunted ducks and geese since 1983. Since 1999, Mark has hunted here in Colorado for waterfowl and big game, and has learned the tricks to get birds in close. Calling and decoying are his favorite things to do, It's the challange of fooling the birds into landing right where you want them to that drives Mark to continually improve his skills in the field. In 2003 Mark joined the Colorado Division of Wildlife as a volunteer for the Hunter Outreach Program. This program take youth and women outdoors, and teaches them life long skills in the field while hunting waterfowl, upland and big game species. Mark averages 300 hours a year in the field with this program to futher educate and interest in the outdoors with novice hunters. Mark has a true passion for sharing his knowledge of the outdoors and looks foward to showing you a great time in the field when you hunt with him and Woods and Water Outfitters.
