Woods and Water Outfitters was founded by Joe Kachnic in 2000. After going on a guided goose hunt with another outfitter he was totally disappointed with the way the whole operation was run. He decided that there is a better way to run a guide service. There is no such thing as ending the hunt at 10:00a.m. with only one shot fired and having guides with a bad attitude.
Woods and Water Outfitters has some of finest water fowling in Colorado. We go the extra mile to ensure you have the hunt of a lifetime. Experienced guides and awesome heated pits to hunt out of. Our guided field hunts offer sportsman some of the best opportunities for Canadian Geese and Duck in Colorado.

All of our hunts are on exclusive private leased land. We manage our properties and rotate the hunters so that fields never get over hunted. This management practice along with our local experts will put you into the birds. We scout the fields the night before your hunt to ensure you the best opportunities for your hunt.
Colorado has very liberal limits on Canadian Geese with four bird per day and eight in possession limit.
Our goal is to produce birds for you to shoot, and to have a hunt you will remember for a lifetime.
We strictly decoy hunt. We strive to put the birds in your face. We hunt from heated pits and use top of the line decoys. We use anywhere from two to fifty dozen decoys depending on the hunting pressure and flight pattern of the birds.
We offer the waterfowl experience of a lifetime. Northern Colorado is one of the best goose hunting areas in the Central flyway. During the main migration there can be as many as 250,000 geese in the area.
Woods and Water Outfitter Service has private leased property in Windsor, Ault, Greeley and Ft. Collins. You will be hunting in corn, wheat, and barley fields. We have approximately 30 ground pits that we hunt out of. All of the pits are six man pits, so you have four to five hunters and one guide per pit.
We limit the number of hunters from 3 to 5 maximum to insure a quality hunt. If there are more hunters in your party we will have to split them into separate groups. There is a three gun minimum to book a hunt. If you have less we will work with you and place you with a smaller group.
